The Youth Arts Takeover is here to get people aged 16-29 involved in producing and co-ordinating arts events. Join us in taking over Thornton Village Hall and develop your employability skills in the arts and cultural sector. You can get involved in production, front of house, marketing, promotion, performance and much more!

As a member of the Youth Arts Takeover, you will take the lead on what the events will be and how they will look. It’s great for developing work experience and you will get the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in the arts through the Arts Award.

Get Involved!

Youth Arts Takeover mainly works with 16-29 year olds.

With our sessions been held at the:

Thornton village Hall, Walker St, Hull

We have no prerequisites regarding being in education, employment etc.

Our current session times are:

Wednesday 10-12 and 1-3

Sessions are led by our trained youth workers but also offer a lot of opportunity for self led planning and working. This is built around the principle of the events being co-designed and delivered.

We also offer sessions within our youth centre for a younger age group.

If these times do not suit then we are more than happy to work with individuals or groups of young people to help them connect with the project and have the opportunity to put on some amazing events.

All we ask is for a willingness to get involved.
