What Do We Do? ​

We bring people together to form friendships and provide companionship.

We run a soup social on a Wednesday lunchtime in the Octagon building on Walker Street.

What Can We Offer? ​

  • ​One-to-one keyworker mentoring & support with employability skills
  • Open for sessions Mon-Thurs, 10.00 -12.00 and 1.00 – 3.00.
  • Help find suitable Online & Face 2 face accredited training courses
  • Opportunity to meet new friends and socialise
  • Help with volunteering opportunities
  • Weekly food pantry, every Friday, 10.30 – 12.00
  • One-to-one keyworker mentoring and support with employabilty skills, such as job searching, help with CV writing and completing job application forms
  • IT skills – gaining confidence in using a computer and Microsoft Office programmes
  • ESOL classes – Support with improving communication skills and dealing with daily life issues, such as completing forms, booking appointments, letter writing and sending emails. Understanding daily vocabulary. Finding paid employment. Applying for school places and housing.
  • Help with completing forms such as housing applications, GP registration forms, Universal Credit applications, job applications.
  • General information, advice and guidance, such as support around energy bills and budgeting
