What Do We Do?
A range of sessions aimed at bringing community members together to reduce social isolation , improve community cohesion and for people to help Goodwin understand the issues they face and how we can help people overcome these issues.
Sessions are all based at the Octagon unless otherwise stated and include:
Digital Hub – Learner basic ICT skills and job search – Mondays 1pm – 3pm
Craft Club – get crafty , creative and meet new people – Tuesday 1pm – 3pm
Soup Social – free soup and a roll – food brings people together ! Wednesday 11am – 1pm
Allotment sessions – for those who have green fingers and want to meet new people – Thursday 10am – 12noon ( This session is based on the allotment behind the octagon car park)
BINGO ! Free Bingo sessions with prizes – Thursdays 1pm – 3pm
Friday – Pantry ( weekly £2 membership fee which provides up to £10 of food 9.30am – 1pm – We also have staff from the Citizens Advice Bureau on site to help people who are struggling financially
We also do one off sessions such as sport , Yoga , Tai Chi , history walks and photography clubs
