Goodwin Development Trust is a successful community business that seeks to improve people’s quality of life through developing and delivering gap services. We are now looking to recruit a professional, experienced & confident individual into the following posts.

 

YEI Team Leader (REF: YEITL )

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: £26,500

 

To manage the day to day running of the YEI keyworkers working on Create To Change, Two Way Street and Do it projects and report to the Training Skills and Opportunities manager. Work closely with the manager to contract manage, assure quality, and monitor budgets and exploring funding opportunities to complement the service.

 

Working with the Training team to provide a holistic service to young people, in particular those who are inactive and suffer from mental health issues or have hidden disabilities. To ensure teams deliver quality assured one on one mentoring to increase personal and social development, employability, and confidence in order to progress clients into a positive opportunity.

 

Working with the training team to plan and deliver sessions, individual and group holistic initial assessment and lead on recruitment strategies working closely with local hostels, Job Centre plus, Children Centres and other community and voluntary sector organisations.

 

Working with the Training team to plan, deliver and evaluate activities with young people. Sessions around community development, multimedia, art and creativity whilst supporting young people through a choice of vocational work placements.

 

Support young people to progress into positive outcomes and into further learning or employment. This will include the development of internal progression pathways including traineeships.

 

Working within the Training team to ensure a high level of service is delivered through support and effective communication within the Department.

 

Working co-operatively and flexibly with other members of the team you will be professional, supportive and have excellent communication skills and be flexible in your hours and location of work.

Youth Teaching & Training Volunteer

Are you interested in gaining skills and experience in the world of teaching, learning, and pastoral work? Do you have some free time to volunteer?

We are looking for people with a keen interest in youth work and community development with a passion for helping others. You will be working as part of our Family Futures team to help people in the local community get back into education, training, and employment. We need people who are reliable and punctual, who can attend sessions they have agreed to. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team as well as work on their own initiative are required.

Fareshare Volunteering Opportunity

Are you interested in gaining skills and experience in warehouse operations, Food storage, distribution and quality control, and have some free time to volunteer?

We are looking for people with a keen interest in warehousing and a willingness to learn the associated skills to work at the Fareshare Hull and Humber, warehouse on Malmo Road, Hull.

Warehouse Operatives
We need people who are reliable and punctual, who can attend sessions they have agreed to. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team as well as work on their own initiative are required. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have the ability to do some manual labour.

We have an exciting volunteer opportunity within youth work as part of Goodwin Development Trust’s Youth Employment Initiative.  You would be supporting young people’s personal and social development and help them to create projects that benefit not only the community, but also  themselves, as they develop skills, knowledge and ideas that support them as they develop into adults.
