Full Time/Permeant (JOB REF: DDPAF)
Hours: 37 hours per week (evening/weekend work will be required as part of a pre agreed rota)
Salary: £15,007.20 (if qualified to L2 in Health and Social Care or sector equivalent)

Salary: £7.50 per hour for L2 in Health and Social Care or sector equivalent / Over 25s

The main purpose of these posts are to assist people with disabilities and/or complex health and social care needs to live at home with independence by ensuring that they have quality care and support. This may involve undertaking personal care, and/or administering medication and/or escorting, and/or arranging and joining in activities. You will be required to provide service users with an effective duty of care that provides a safe and dignified environment that demonstrates an appropriate level of choice and control. You will be required to work with the Management Team to ensure that Care Quality Commission Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are upheld and that respect is given to the cultural and social values and beliefs of individual service users. You will ideally hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and demonstrable experience of working in the health and social care setting and have working knowledge of safeguarding protocols and procedures along with an understanding of confidentiality and data protection in respect of service user records. If you are applying for the apprenticeship role, during a 1-year apprenticeship you will undergo an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care and will receive on the job training, mentoring and support in order to be competent in all Personal Assistant duties. It is essential that you have a keen interest to work in a caring profession and the skills associated with the profession such as patience, respect, compassion, understanding dignity, etc. You must be willing to achieve a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care as well as undertake any further training required to meet the needs of the service, service users and for professional development.
