Goodwin Development Trust is a successful community business that seeks to improve people’s quality of life through developing and delivering gap services. We are now looking to recruit professional & confident individuals into our Childcare Support Teams within our Octagon and Fenchurch Street Nurseries:

 

Childcare Support Team (Supply) – REF:  CST001 (Salary meets National Minimum Wage)

You will be working as part of the team based at Octagon or Fenchurch Street Children’s Centres. Your primary responsibilities will be to deliver high quality childcare and education for children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years. In addition you will be expected to carry out a range of duties including supporting the full nursery team (including students and volunteers), working with the Children’s Centre team and working closely with children and their families. Experience of supporting families within a childcare setting is desirable but consideration will be given to newly qualified persons. A working knowledge of the EYFS is essential and you should be committed to providing high quality play and learning opportunities and working in partnership with parents and carers.

 

Hours will be offered on an adhoc basis to provide additional cover within any of the Children’s Centres as and when required.  There are opportunities to apply for temporary / permanent contracts throughout the year.  These opportunities are usually advertised internally and members of the Childcare Support Team are encouraged to apply.
