Danny’s Dream offers a unique combination of domiciliary care with that of care and support at the Danny’s Dream Club and other leisure and community activities. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to train and develop as an apprentice within our Danny’s Dream team.

                                                                     35 hours per week (including 1 day at College)

1 year Fixed Term – progression into a qualified role after the apprenticeship for the right candidates

During a 1 year apprenticeship, the job holder will undergo an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and receive on the job the training, mentoring and support in order to be competent in all Personal Assistant duties. Personal Assistants assist people with disabilities and/or complex health and social care needs to live at home with independence by ensuring that they have quality care and support. This may involve undertaking personal care, and/or administering medication and/or escorting, and/or arranging and joining in activities. This apprenticeship role will provide training to enable you to provide service users with an effective duty of care that provides a safe and dignified environment that demonstrates an appropriate level of choice and control. You will be required to work with the Management Team to ensure that Care Quality Commission Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are upheld and that respect is given to the cultural and social values and beliefs of individual service users.


It is essential that you have a keen interest to work in a caring profession and the skills associated with the profession such as patience, respect, compassion, understanding dignity, etc. You must be willing to achieve a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care as well as undertake any further training required to meet the needs of the service, service users and for professional development. You should have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently as well as possess a professional attitude and can be relied upon.
